Day 2: Munnar Excursions
Start your day with a delightful Kerala-style breakfast, then gear up to explore the scenic beauty of Munnar, one of Kerala’s most cherished hill stations. Located at an altitude of 1600 meters, Munnar lies at the confluence of three mountain streams and is surrounded by endless tea gardens, rolling hills, and the majestic Anamudi Peak, the highest point in South India.
Your first stop is the Eravikulam National Park, a haven for nature lovers. Here, you’ll encounter the rare and endangered Nilgiri Tahr, along with a vibrant array of birds and butterflies. Nestled within the park is the Anamudi Peak, standing tall and serene.
Next, visit some of Munnar’s iconic tea plantations where you can witness the art of tea plucking and processing. Sip on freshly brewed tea and shop for premium blends straight from the source.
Continue your journey to Echo Point, a natural acoustic wonder, and then to the scenic Mattupetty Lake and Dam, a perfect picnic spot offering tranquil views. A drive to Top Station, 32 km away and perched at 1700 meters, rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Western Ghats.
On your way back, enjoy a visit to Rajamalai and stop at Kundale Lake for a peaceful boating experience amidst untouched natural beauty.
As the sun begins to set, return to your hotel and relax after a day filled with nature, adventure, and scenic splendor.

Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary)
After a hearty breakfast in Munnar, check out and board your vehicle for the 110 km drive to Thekkady, a journey that takes around 3 hours through Kerala’s lush countryside. The scenic route is dotted with spice plantations, rolling hills, and occasional glimpses of rural village life.
Upon arrival in Thekkady, check into your hotel and refresh yourself before heading out to explore the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary—one of India’s most renowned tiger reserves, spread across the banks of the serene Periyar Lake.
As you explore the sanctuary, you may encounter elephants, bison, sambar deer, leopards, and if lucky, even a glimpse of a tiger. The reserve is also home to a rich diversity of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and over 2000 species of flowering plants, including rare orchids.
Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where wildlife sightings along the water’s edge are a common delight and the natural scenery is picture-perfect—making this a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.
After an enriching day amidst wilderness and greenery, return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 4: Thekkady – Kumarakom – Alleppey (Houseboat Experience)
After breakfast at your hotel in Thekkady, begin your picturesque drive toward Kumarakom, eventually heading to Alleppey—lovingly known as the Venice of the East. The journey takes you through lush tropical scenery dotted with paddy fields, coconut groves, and intricate networks of canals and lagoons that are the lifeline of Kerala’s backwaters.
On arrival in Alleppey, step aboard your private houseboat, a traditional Kettuvallam, beautifully appointed with modern comforts while retaining its rustic charm. As the houseboat gently cruises along the tranquil backwaters, you’ll witness an intimate side of Kerala—villagers rowing canoes, children waving from the banks, fishermen casting their nets, and temples quietly nestled among the greenery.
Enjoy a freshly prepared lunch onboard, featuring authentic Kerala cuisine. As the sun begins to set, casting golden hues over the water, savor the calm and beauty of this slow-paced world.
In the evening, relish a delightful dinner prepared by your onboard chef. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the water as the houseboat rocks gently under the starlit sky.
