Your Bodhgaya spiritual day journey begins at 8:00 AM, as our representative picks you up from your hotel, Varanasi airport, or railway station. After a warm welcome and introduction to the day’s schedule, we begin our road journey to Bodhgaya, approximately 260 km from Varanasi (5–6 hours drive). The scenic drive passes through small towns, villages, and countryside views, offering a glimpse of rural life in India.

Upon arrival in Bodhgaya around 1:00 PM, we begin sightseeing with the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the holiest Buddhist temple. Here, Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi Tree. You can explore the temple complex, meditate in the peaceful surroundings, and witness pilgrims from across the world offering prayers.

Next, we visit the Bodhi Tree, located within the Mahabodhi Temple complex. This sacred fig tree is considered the direct descendant of the original tree where Buddha attained enlightenment. Devotees often sit under its shade to meditate and absorb the divine energy of the site.

Following this, we explore the Great Buddha Statue, standing tall at 80 feet, symbolizing peace and compassion. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and 10 smaller statues representing Buddha’s disciples, it is one of the most photographed landmarks in Bodhgaya.

Afterward, you will be guided to the International Monasteries representing countries like Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan. Each monastery showcases unique architecture, art, and traditions, offering a fascinating journey through global Buddhist culture. Notable sites include the Thai Monastery with its golden roof, the Japanese temple featuring a large Buddha statue, and the Tibetan Monastery adorned with colorful prayer flags and wheels.

Around 4:30 PM, after completing sightseeing, we enjoy some leisure time where you may walk through local markets to explore souvenirs, handicrafts, and spiritual items. A quick refreshment break is arranged before beginning the return journey to Varanasi.

By 5:00 PM, we drive back to Varanasi, reflecting on the day’s spiritual experiences. The evening road journey gives you time to relax or simply enjoy the changing landscapes.

You will arrive back in Varanasi by 9:00 PM, where our driver will drop you safely at your hotel. This marks the end of your memorable Bodhgaya day trip with Kashiyatra Tours, carrying the blessings and peace from the land of enlightenment.
