Day 1 - Arrival and Exploration in Varanasi

Arrival at Varanasi:

  • Arrive at Varanasi Airport or Railway Station.

  • You will be welcomed by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to the hotel.

  • Varanasi, located on the crescent-shaped left bank of the sacred Ganga River, is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. It derives its name from the confluence of two rivers, the Varuna and the Assi, which flow through the city.

City & Temple Tour:

Kashi Vishwanath Temple:Known as the Golden Temple, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva and stands as the spiritual heart of Varanasi.

Bharat Mata Temple:A one-of-a-kind temple that honors Mother India. It features a detailed relief map of India, carved from marble, instead of traditional idols. This unique structure was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi.

Tulsi Manas Temple: Built in 1964 with elegant white marble, this temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. It features inscriptions of verses from Ram Charit Manas, the epic authored by Saint Tulsidas.

Evening Ganga Aarti Ceremony: In the evening, witness the grand Aarti ceremony on the banks of the sacred Ganges River The ceremony is a devotional ritual involving offerings of fire (lit wicks soaked in ghee) to the river, accompanied by hymns and chants. The ritual's origins trace back to the Vedic period, emphasizing the highest love for God (Aarti derives from Sanskrit words meaning "towards" and "highest love").

Overnight Stay: Return to the hotel for a restful overnight stay.

Day 2 - Immersive Varanasi Experience

Morning Activities:

Boat Ride on the Ganges: Early morning transfer to the ghats for a serene boat ride on the sacred Ganges River.Witness the ghats come alive at dawn with devotees performing ablutions, offering prayers to the rising sun, and engaging in religious rituals.The boat ride from Dasaswamedh Ghat provides a spectacular view of the vibrant activities along the riverbank. Holy Dip and Walk Through Kashi Vishwanath Lanes: After the boat ride, take a holy dip in the Ganges, believed to cleanse sins and purify the soul.Enjoy a leisurely walk through the historic and bustling lanes around Kashi Vishwanath Temple, soaking in the local culture and spirituality.

Sarnath Tour: After breakfast, proceed to Sarnath, located about 10 km from Varanasi. Sarnath holds immense significance as the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon, introducing the principles of Buddhism. Key highlights include: Dhamek Stupa: A towering stupa marking the spot where Buddha delivered his first sermon. Chaukhandi Stupa: An important historical site marking the spot where Buddha met his first disciples. Sarnath Archaeological Museum: Houses an impressive collection of ancient artifacts, including the Ashokan Lion Capital (India's national emblem). (Closed on Fridays)

Shopping Tour of Varanasi: Later, indulge in a shopping tour to explore the vibrant markets of Varanasi. Shop for:

  • Banarasi Silk Sarees: Known for their intricate designs and fine craftsmanship.

  • Handicrafts and Wooden Toys: A specialty of the region.

  • Religious Items: Including brass idols and rudraksha beads.

Overnight Stay: Return to the hotel for an overnight stay, ending the day with reflections on the spiritual and cultural richness of Varanasi..

Day 3 - Ayodhya Excursion

Morning:

  • Breakfast at the Hotel: Start the day with a hearty breakfast.

  • Departure to Ayodhya (230 km, approx. 5 hours drive):

    • Begin the journey to Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Rama, by 7:30 AM.

    • Ayodhya, one of the seven most sacred places in Hinduism, is steeped in mythology and historical significance.

    • Situated on the banks of the Sarayu River, Ayodhya was once called Saket and is mentioned in ancient scriptures, including the Ramayana and Atharva Veda.

Sightseeing in Ayodhya:

Hanuman Garhi: A 10th-century temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, who is believed to have lived here to guard Ayodhya. It is customary to visit this temple before proceeding to the Ram Janmabhoomi.

Ram Janmabhoomi: The revered site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This holy site holds immense significance for Hindu devotees and is central to the epic Ramayana.

Kanak Bhawan:A beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, also known as "Sone-ka-Ghar" (House of Gold).Built in 1891, it is situated in the northeastern corner of Ram Janmabhoomi in Tulsi Nagar.

Afternoon: Lunch: Enjoy a local meal in Ayodhya before continuing the sightseeing.

Evening: After completing the sightseeing in Ayodhya, check in to your hotel.
