Day 1: Arrival – Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri to Kalimpong - Upon your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. From here, embark on a scenic 3-hour drive covering approximately 85 km through lush hills, winding roads, and tea gardens en route to Kalimpong, a charming hill town nestled in the Eastern Himalayas. After checking in to your hotel and freshening up, get ready for a leisurely afternoon of sightseeing. Kalimpong, with its strong Buddhist influence, offers a unique cultural blend—once a military outpost, today it's a peaceful town dotted with monasteries, churches, and temples coexisting in harmony. Stroll along bustling streets lined with shops selling Chinese lanterns, Lepcha daggers, and colorful orchids, for which the town is renowned. Begin your tour with a visit to the tranquil Deollo Hill, followed by the Hanuman Statue, the local Science Centre, and the revered Durga Mandir. Return to your hotel in the evening. If you wish, step out to explore the local bazaars and sample some delicious regional delicacies.

Day 2: Kalimpong Sightseeing – Transfer to Gangtok - After enjoying a delightful breakfast, set out with your group for a day of exploration in and around Kalimpong. The morning features a scenic excursion to Lava and Rishyap, two serene hill hamlets offering breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-capped Eastern Himalayas. These peaceful villages are perfect for soaking in the natural beauty and capturing stunning photographs of the surrounding peaks and forests. Later in the afternoon, return to Kalimpong and board the coach for your onward journey to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The drive, which takes approximately 3 hours, winds through lush hills and picturesque valleys, gradually ascending to the cool heights of Gangtok.Arrive in the evening and check in to your hotel. Take the rest of the evening to relax and acclimatize to the fresh mountain air.

Day 3: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & Nathu La Pass - Begin your day with a traditional Sikkimese breakfast, then embark on a full-day excursion through the scenic highlands of East Sikkim. Your first stop is the stunning Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake cradled at an altitude of 3,753 meters amidst snow-dusted mountain slopes. Depending on the season, the lake may be partially or completely frozen, with its crystal-clear waters reflecting the towering peaks around it—a picture-perfect Himalayan experience. Next, visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, a revered site built in honor of an Indian Army soldier believed to protect those in the region. The journey then takes you further up to the Nathu La Pass (4,310 meters), once part of the ancient Silk Route, offering sweeping views across the Indo-China border. On a clear day, you may catch a glimpse of Tibet in the distance and valleys rolling out far below on the Indian side. Please note: Entry to Nathu La Pass is subject to weather conditions, road accessibility, and prior permits granted by the Indian Army. The pass remains closed during winter and on Mondays and Tuesdays. Ameera Holidays will assist in securing the required permissions. After this awe-inspiring excursion, return to your hotel in Gangtok. Spend the evening exploring the local bazaars, where you can shop for handicrafts, flowers, fruits, and souvenirs, or step into a nearby monastery to soak in the town’s spiritual essence.

Day 4: Gangtok to Darjeeling – Scenic Drive & Local Exploration - Start your day with a refreshing breakfast amid the crisp mountain air of Gangtok. After check-out, embark on a scenic 130 km drive (approx. 4 hours) to Darjeeling, passing through verdant valleys, misty hills, and charming villages along the way. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to unwind. Later in the afternoon, you may choose to enjoy a nostalgic ride on the iconic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Toy Train, a UNESCO World Heritage experience that offers enchanting views of the hills and tea gardens. As evening falls, explore Darjeeling’s bustling bazaars, lined with shops selling local crafts, woollens, Tibetan artifacts, and aromatic teas—perfect souvenirs to take home.

Day 5: Full-Day Darjeeling Sightseeing – Sunrise, Heritage & Tea Trails - Your day begins before dawn—with a 3:00 AM departure to the famed Tiger Hill. Here, join fellow travelers in anticipation of one of nature’s most awe-inspiring displays: the sunrise over Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak. As the first light touches the icy summit, watch the snow transform from soft pink to radiant gold—a memory that will stay with you forever. On your return journey, stop at the serene Ghoom Monastery, one of Darjeeling’s oldest, where the peaceful rhythm of monastic life offers a moment of quiet reflection. Then visit the Batasia Loop, an engineering marvel and war memorial surrounded by manicured gardens, offering spectacular views of the town and mountains. After a refreshing breakfast, enjoy some leisure before heading out again post-lunch. Your next stop is the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which showcases the achievements of mountaineers who dared to conquer Everest and other Himalayan giants. Adjacent to it, the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park offers a chance to see rare high-altitude species like snow leopards and red pandas.

Continue your journey with a visit to the Dhirdham Temple, followed by a scenic ride on the Darjeeling Ropeway, gliding over lush valleys and tea gardens. At the Happy Valley Tea Estate, witness tea plucking and processing, and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Darjeeling tea—followed by an opportunity to purchase some of the finest blends.

As the day winds down, explore Tenzing Rock and Gombu Rock, named after legendary mountaineers.
