Day 1: Arrival – Bagdogra / New Jalpaiguri to Gangtok - Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, where you’ll be warmly greeted by your representative. Join your fellow travelers and board the comfortable coach for a scenic 4-hour drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. The journey winds through lush hills, river valleys, and charming mountain villages, offering a beautiful introduction to the Northeast’s natural splendor. As you approach Gangtok, the cool mountain breeze and views of distant peaks welcome you. Check in to your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey. In the evening, step out for a gentle stroll through MG Road, Gangtok’s bustling bazaar. Browse stalls brimming with local flowers, fresh fruits, handicrafts, and traditional Sikkimese snacks. The warm smiles of locals, the scent of incense from nearby shrines, and the quiet hum of the hills make for a wonderful first impression.

Day 2: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir & Nathu La Pass - Wake up to the fresh mountain air and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel. Soon after, begin a scenic two-hour drive along the Gangtok–Nathula Highway to visit the stunning Tsomgo Lake. Perched at an altitude of 3,753 meters, this glacial lake stretches nearly 1 km in length and 50 meters in depth, surrounded by gently sloping hills covered in seasonal blooms or snow, depending on the time of year. The tranquil setting and mirror-like waters make it a true Himalayan gem. Continue your journey to the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, dedicated to an Indian Army soldier whose spirit is said to still protect troops in the region. En route, if weather and permits allow, stop briefly at the Nathu La Pass, a historic part of the ancient Silk Route, located at 4,310 meters. From here, on a clear day, catch a distant glimpse of the Tibetan Plateau and soak in breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Gangtok in the late afternoon. The evening is yours to enjoy—explore the vibrant MG Road Bazaar, try local delicacies, or visit one of Gangtok’s serene monasteries. You may choose to see the Do Drul Chorten Stupa, known for its peaceful ambiance and spinning prayer wheels, or make a short drive to the Rumtek Monastery (25 km), one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism in India.

Day 3: Second Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir – Leisure Evening in Gangtok - Start your day early with another rewarding excursion to the mesmerizing Tsomgo Lake. Today, take more time to fully soak in the lake’s natural charm—perhaps enjoy a yak ride around the lake’s edge, a unique and memorable Himalayan experience. Depending on the season, the lake may be frozen, but if you're lucky, you’ll witness its crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding peaks. You may also choose to walk a little further to Changu Lake, a tranquil and lesser-visited spot nearby. After spending peaceful moments by the water, proceed once again to the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a place revered both for its history and spiritual significance. Return to Gangtok by afternoon and unwind at your hotel before heading out for a relaxed evening on MG Road. Sit on the promenade benches and people-watch, explore the colorful local shops, or try some local street food. For those feeling adventurous, take a ride on the bi-cable Zig-back Ropeway that glides between Deorali and Tashiling, offering spectacular aerial views of the valley. Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen – Into the Heart of North Sikkim - Begin your day with a warm Sikkimese breakfast and prepare for an unforgettable journey to the high-altitude village of Lachen, located about 130 km from Gangtok. The drive, which takes approximately 6 hours, winds through narrow mountain passes, forested valleys, and alongside glacial rivers, gradually ascending to an altitude of 9,000 feet. Along the way, enjoy views of cascading waterfalls, tiny mountain hamlets, and rugged Himalayan landscapes that grow wilder and more beautiful with every turn. This scenic route is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself. By late afternoon, arrive in Lachen, a quiet, remote village cradled by snow-capped peaks. As the sun sets behind the mountains, casting golden hues across the sky, check into your hotel and relax.Enjoy a warm dinner and rest well—tomorrow takes you even deeper into the majestic wilderness of North Sikkim.

Day 5: Excursion to Chopta Valley & Gurudongmar Lake – Transfer to Lachung - Rise early and fuel up with a steaming hot local breakfast—today promises to be one of the most unforgettable days of your journey. Begin your drive toward the breathtaking Chopta Valley, a lesser-known gem of North Sikkim, located about 2 hours from Lachen. Along the way, marvel at the pristine beauty of the Himalayan wilderness, and catch a glimpse of the enchanting Seven Sisters Waterfall, cascading in full force during the monsoon and snowmelt seasons. Continue your ascent to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake, nestled at a staggering altitude of 17,000 feet, making it one of the highest lakes in the world. As the golden sunlight spreads across the peaks, the surrounding landscape comes alive in breathtaking color and serenity. En route, soak in the beauty of the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, home to over 40 species of rhododendrons, blooming in a riot of colors in spring. Flowing through the valley is the crystal-clear Lachung Chu River, adding to the magical charm of the region. Enjoy the changing landscape as you travel—rolling hills, forests, and views of distant peaks accompany you throughout the journey. The drive offers plenty of visual delights and quiet moments as you leave behind Gangtok’s bustle and enter the more serene embrace of the western hills. On arrival in Pelling, check in to your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure. Day 8: Full-Day Pelling Sightseeing – Waterfalls, Sacred Lakes & Monasteries - Wake up to the serene beauty of Pelling, a hidden Himalayan gem that offers breathtaking views of Mount Kanchenjunga. After breakfast, set out to explore the natural and cultural treasures of the region. Begin your day at the cascading Rimbi Waterfalls, followed by a peaceful walk through the beautifully maintained Rock Garden, where nature and artistry blend seamlessly. Next, visit the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred, crystal-clear lake believed to fulfill wishes—its calm surface rarely disturbed even by fallen leaves.
