Day 1: Kochi – Munnar

Your journey begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at Kochi by our friendly Kashiyatra Tours representative, who will assist you and escort you to your private vehicle. Set off on a picturesque 4.5-hour drive (approx. 135 km) through Kerala’s scenic countryside, dotted with palm-lined roads, spice plantations, and misty hills.

En route, visit the Kodanad Elephant Care Centre, where you can witness the gentle giants being bathed, fed, and lovingly cared for. Continue your journey with refreshing stops at Cheyyara Waterfalls and Attukad Waterfalls, perfect spots for photos and relaxation amidst nature’s beauty.

A short break at a spice or tea plantation allows you to soak in the fragrance and charm of Kerala’s green bounty before reaching Munnar, the idyllic hill station known for its tea gardens and cool mountain air. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the serene surroundings of this enchanting town.

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

Wake up to the crisp, refreshing air of Munnar, perched at an altitude of 1600 meters. Enjoy a delicious breakfast while soaking in panoramic views of rolling hills blanketed in lush tea plantations—a truly magical start to your day.

Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and a haven of natural beauty. Next, proceed to the serene Mattupetty Dam, where you can pause and relish the cool breeze and scenic surroundings.

Continue to a tea estate, where you’ll witness the fascinating journey of tea—from plucking to processing. You’ll also get the chance to sample a variety of teas and shop for fresh local blends. Enhance your experience with a visit to the Tea Museum, which offers insights into the history and evolution of tea cultivation in Munnar.

The journey then takes you to a spice plantation, where you’ll explore the fragrant world of Kerala’s famed spices—pepper, cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon. Your day’s exploration also includes stops at the Rose Garden, Kundale Dam, and Blossom Park, each offering a unique slice of Munnar’s charm.

Wrap up the day with a peaceful boating session on a calm lake, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Later, enjoy a traditional Kerala dinner and unwind at your hotel for a restful night.

Day 3: Munnar – Alleppey (Houseboat Stay)

After a hearty breakfast featuring traditional Kerala delicacies like coconut pancakes or mashed tapioca with grated coconut, check out and begin your scenic 150 km journey to Alleppey—a complete contrast to the misty hills of Munnar. While Munnar is known for its tea-covered slopes, Alleppey is famous for its tranquil backwaters, winding canals, and lush paddy fields.

Arrive in Alleppey after a 3.5-hour drive and check in to your private houseboat, your floating home for the next 20 hours. As you cruise along the serene waters, experience a unique way of life where locals commute, trade, fish, and even celebrate festivals—all on water.

Relax on the deck, enjoy a freshly cooked onboard lunch, and take in the mesmerizing scenes of daily village life along the banks. In the evening, dine under the stars with a delightful spread of Kerala cuisine prepared by your onboard chef.

As night falls, the gentle rhythm of the water and the soothing sway of the boat provide a peaceful, unforgettable night’s sleep amid Kerala’s watery wonderland.

Day 4: Alleppey – Kochi (Departure Day)

After a relaxing night on the houseboat, wake up to the gentle lapping of water and enjoy a freshly prepared Kerala-style breakfast on board. Disembark and head to the scenic Alleppey Beach, where you can soak in the stunning views of golden sands meeting the Arabian Sea.

Next, embark on a 1.5-hour drive (approx. 80 km) to Kochi, a city that beautifully blends colonial charm with coastal serenity. Begin your Kochi city tour with visits to the Naval Maritime Museum, the historic Fort Kochi, and the St. Francis Church—one of the oldest European churches in India. At the seashore, marvel at the iconic Chinese fishing nets, still in use today as a living tradition.

In the afternoon, proceed to Tripunithura Hill Palace, once the royal residence of the Kochi Maharajas, now a rich museum of Kerala’s cultural heritage. Later, enjoy a scenic boating experience along the Marine Drive, a favorite local promenade.

Wrap up the tour with some shopping for souvenirs and spices from the local markets. In the evening, our tour guide will assist you with your transfer to the Kochi Airport or Railway Station, marking the end of a delightful Kerala journey.

Like a sip of fine wine, Kerala leaves a lasting taste—and with Kashiyatra Tours, we’re sure you’ll carry unforgettable memories and a promise to return for more.
