Day 1: Arrival in Dakar (Senegal) - Your West African adventure begins as you arrive at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar, the vibrant capital of Senegal. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Take some time to relax after your journey. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Corniche, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the bustling city. You may also explore nearby local markets or enjoy a traditional Senegalese dinner. Overnight stay in Dakar.

Day 2: Dakar City Tour & Gorée Island - After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour of Dakar, starting with Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, and the striking African Renaissance Monument – the tallest statue in Africa. Later, take a ferry ride to Gorée Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its historical role in the Atlantic slave trade. Explore the House of Slaves Museum, colonial buildings, and colorful streets that tell powerful stories of resilience. Return to Dakar in the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Dakar – Lac Rose – Saly - This morning, head to Lac Rose (Pink Lake), famous for its striking pink hue caused by algae and mineral content. Witness local salt collectors at work and, if conditions allow, enjoy a short camel or quad bike ride along the sandy shores. Continue your journey to Saly, a picturesque coastal resort town. Spend your afternoon relaxing on golden beaches or exploring local craft markets. Overnight stay in Saly.

Day 4: Saly – Bandia Reserve – Saly - After breakfast, set out for Bandia Wildlife Reserve, home to giraffes, antelopes, zebras, ostriches, and monkeys. Take a thrilling safari drive to witness the region’s diverse wildlife in a semi-natural habitat. Return to Saly and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure – perhaps indulge in water sports, try fresh seafood, or enjoy sunset views by the ocean. Overnight stay in Saly.

Day 5: Saly – Kaolack – Banjul (The Gambia) - Depart Saly after breakfast and journey through the scenic Senegalese countryside toward the border with The Gambia. Stop at Kaolack, known for its bustling markets, before continuing to the ferry crossing into Banjul, The Gambia’s capital. Check in at your hotel and take a short orientation walk around the city center. In the evening, enjoy Gambian hospitality with a dinner featuring local dishes. Overnight stay in Banjul.

Day 6: Banjul & Surroundings
After breakfast, explore Banjul’s highlights including Arch 22, the National Museum, and the lively Albert Market, where you can shop for local fabrics, handicrafts, and spices. In the afternoon, visit nearby Bakau to see the Kachikally Crocodile Pool, a sacred site believed to bring blessings. Enjoy a relaxed evening at one of Banjul’s beachfront restaurants. Day 7: River Gambia Cruise - Today, embark on a River Gambia cruise, one of the most scenic experiences in The Gambia. Sail past mangrove forests, fishing villages, and lush riverbanks teeming with birdlife. Stop at small settlements to meet locals and learn about traditional lifestyles. Enjoy a picnic lunch on board before returning to Banjul in the late afternoon. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Banjul.

Day 8: Banjul – Sanyang & Tanji Fishing Village - After breakfast, visit Sanyang Beach, known for its peaceful, unspoiled sands. Continue to Tanji Fishing Village, where colorful boats return from the sea and locals prepare the daily catch for drying and smoking. This is an excellent opportunity for photography and cultural interaction. Return to Banjul in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Banjul.

Day 9: Banjul – Dakar - Check out after breakfast and travel back to Senegal via the same ferry crossing. On arrival in Dakar, enjoy free time for last-minute shopping or a visit to the Soumbedioune Artisanal Market. In the evening, share memories of your journey over a farewell dinner. Overnight stay in Dakar.

Day 10: Departure - After breakfast, you will be transferred to Blaise Diagne International Airport for your onward flight. Your unforgettable journey through Senegal and The Gambia concludes with a heart full of memories – from vibrant cities and cultural treasures to serene beaches and friendly communities.
