Day Tour: Varanasi – Ayodhya – Varanasi

Your journey to Ayodhya begins with a prompt 8:00 AM pickup from your hotel, Varanasi airport, or railway station by our representative. After a warm welcome, you embark on a scenic drive of about 220 km (5–6 hours) through the heart of Uttar Pradesh. Along the way, you will see rural landscapes, bustling small towns, and green fields, offering glimpses of traditional Indian life.

Arriving in Ayodhya around 1:00 PM, you begin sightseeing with the city’s most significant spiritual site, the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama. The temple complex holds immense religious and historical importance, attracting millions of devotees every year. Spend some quiet moments offering prayers and experiencing the sanctity of this divine place.

Next, you visit Hanuman Garhi, a famous temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Situated atop a hill, this temple offers a panoramic view of Ayodhya and is believed to guard the Ram Janmabhoomi. Pilgrims often visit Hanuman Garhi before entering the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, as per tradition.

From here, proceed to Kanak Bhawan, one of Ayodhya’s most beautiful temples. According to legend, it was gifted to Goddess Sita by Queen Kaikeyi after her marriage to Lord Rama. Adorned with striking golden idols of Rama and Sita, this temple is a must-visit for devotees.

After exploring these prominent temples, continue to the Saryu River Ghats, where you can witness the sacred river that holds deep significance in Hindu rituals and mythology. The ghats of Saryu are often visited by devotees who perform rituals, take holy dips, and enjoy the spiritual tranquility of the place.

Later, visit other notable temples such as Treta ke Thakur, believed to mark the spot where Lord Rama performed the Ashwamedha Yagna, and Nageshwarnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Each site carries legends that enrich the sacred aura of Ayodhya.

Around 5:30 PM, you will have some leisure time to explore local markets, where you can shop for religious souvenirs, idols, and handicrafts. You may also enjoy light refreshments or traditional snacks at a local eatery.

By 6:30 PM, we begin the return journey to Varanasi. The evening drive allows time to relax and reflect on the day’s spiritual experiences. As the road unfolds under the night sky, you carry with you the divine essence of Ayodhya.
