Day 1: Arrival and Evening Exploration in Khajuraho

Upon your arrival at Khajuraho Airport or Khajuraho Railway Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, followed by an assisted transfer to your hotel. After check-in, take some time to rest and refresh.

As the sun begins to set, head out to explore the evening market near the Western Group of Temples. This vibrant bazaar is the perfect place to pick up local handicrafts, souvenirs, and traditional artwork — ideal for getting a feel of the region's rich cultural tapestry.

Later in the evening, make your way to the Western Group of Temples campus for the captivating Light and Sound Show. Narrated by the iconic voice of Amitabh Bachchan, the show beautifully brings to life the history of the Chandela dynasty, their architectural genius, and the legends associated with the Khajuraho temples. Accompanied by classical Indian music and dramatic lighting, the temples glow in a surreal aura, offering a truly magical experience.

Day 2: Temple Tour in Khajuraho & Transfer to Panna National Park

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting out for a full day of cultural exploration and natural beauty.

Your first stop is the Western Group of Temples, the most celebrated and architecturally significant collection of temples in Khajuraho. After arriving at the temple complex entrance, purchase your tickets and, if desired, hire a local guide for deeper insights into the temple art and history. Don't forget your camera — the intricate carvings and stunning architecture make for spectacular photos.

Visitors are advised to wear comfortable footwear, preferably sandals or easy-to-remove shoes, as you'll need to take them off when entering the temples.

Some key temples in the Western Group include:

  • Kandariya Mahadev Temple – The largest and most ornate, known for its graceful design and intricate sculpture.

  • Lakshman Temple – One of the oldest and most important, dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

  • Varaha Mandap, Devi Mandap, and Mahadev Shrine – Each with its own unique architectural style and spiritual significance.

After thoroughly exploring the Western Group, head to the Eastern Group of Temples. Though more modest in scale, these temples hold great historical and religious importance. This area primarily features Jain temples, as the region was once a hub of Jain culture during the Chandela reign.

Notable temples in the Eastern Group include:

  • Parsvanath Temple – The largest Jain temple in the complex, renowned for its intricate carvings.

  • Vamana Temple, Javari Temple, and Brahma Temple – Smaller Hindu temples that offer insight into the diversity of spiritual life in ancient Khajuraho.

After your temple tour, stop for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. Later, return to the hotel for checkout, and begin your scenic drive to Panna National Park, a haven for wildlife lovers.

Upon arrival in Panna, check in to your resort and unwind. Take in the peaceful surroundings and rest up — tomorrow promises an adventure into the wild!

Day 3: Morning Safari & Natural Wonders of Panna National Park

Rise early for an exhilarating morning safari in Panna National Park, a treasure trove of biodiversity nestled in the Vindhyan hills of northern Madhya Pradesh. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1994, Panna is known for its efforts in tiger conservation and is now home to a thriving population of the majestic big cats — a definite highlight for wildlife enthusiasts.

As you traverse the park’s rugged terrain and forested landscapes, keep an eye out for:

  • Tigers – the star attraction of the park

  • Gharials – rare, fish-eating crocodiles native to the Indian subcontinent

  • Leopards, Sloth Bears, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, and Chinkara – among other wildlife species

In addition to its rich wildlife, Panna also offers a visual delight in the form of the Pandava Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India, cascading down nearly 100 feet. Reaching the falls involves a descent of around 280 steps, but the reward is well worth the effort. Surrounded by lush greenery and steep cliffs, the serene atmosphere is enhanced by the sound of falling water.

Legend has it that the Pandava brothers from the Mahabharata spent part of their exile here, adding a mythical charm to this already magical site. Interestingly, the origin of the waterfall remains a mystery, as there are no visible water sources above the cave — deepening the aura of intrigue.

Spend time soaking in the natural beauty, the stories of old, and the rejuvenating calm of the forest. It’s not just a safari — it’s an experience that uplifts the soul.

Day 4: Departure from Panna – Return to Khajuraho

After enjoying a leisurely morning and breakfast at the resort, it's time to bid farewell to the tranquil wilderness of Panna. You will be transferred back to Khajuraho to continue with your onward journey.

As your tour comes to an end, take a moment to reflect on the incredible experiences — from the architectural grandeur of the Khajuraho Temples to the thrilling wildlife encounters in Panna National Park, and the serene beauty of Pandava Falls.

This journey has offered you a perfect blend of culture and nature, an enriching experience that’s both rare and unforgettable.

Depart with cherished memories and stories to share!
