Day 1: Welcome to Guwahati – Your spiritual journey with Kashiyatra Tours begins with a warm welcome upon your arrival in Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Our representative will receive you at the designated point and escort you to your pre-booked hotel, ensuring a comfortable check-in and a smooth start to your trip.

After settling in, your first day includes a visit to the Assam State Museum, where you’ll discover the vibrant culture, history, and traditions of Assam through its impressive collection of artifacts, crafts, and sculptures. This cultural insight sets the tone for the spiritual and historical essence of the tour.

In the evening, you have the option to experience a scenic sunset cruise on the mighty Brahmaputra River (on direct payment)—a perfect way to relax and absorb the beauty of Guwahati.

Return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay, preparing for the divine journey to Kamakhya Temple on the following day.

Day 2: Guwahati Sightseeing and Departure – Start your day early with a divine visit to the Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, located atop the scenic Nilachal Hill. Dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya, the temple holds immense spiritual significance and attracts pilgrims from across the country. To ensure a smooth darshan, it is advised to purchase a VIP pass from the temple counter to skip long waiting queues.

Surrounding the main Kamakhya temple are several smaller temples dedicated to various forms of Maa Shakti, including Dhumavati, Tripureswari, Maa Tara, Maa Kali, Maa Chhinnamasta, Maa Bagala, Maa Bhubaneswari, and Maa Banadurga. Visiting each of these shrines enhances the spiritual essence of the pilgrimage.

Post darshan, proceed to the Umananda Temple, beautifully located on Peacock Island in the Brahmaputra River. If time allows, explore the lively Fancy Bazaar, a popular local market known for traditional Assamese goods, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

After a fulfilling day, you will be dropped at the railway station or airport for your return journey.

Note: Important Information for Devotees

• If you wish to perform any special puja or ritual at Kamakhya Temple, please inform us at least one day in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements smoothly.

• Every year, the Kamakhya Temple remains closed during the sacred Ambubachi period from 22nd June to 25th June, as it is believed that the Goddess undergoes her annual menstrual cycle during this time.

• The temple reopens on 26th June with the commencement of the grand Ambubachi Mela, which continues till 3rd July. This period draws thousands of devotees from all over the country, making the temple premises and surrounding areas extremely crowded and congested.

• We strongly recommend planning your visit before or after the Ambubachi dates to avoid inconvenience and ensure a peaceful darshan experience.
