Upon reaching Munnar, check into your hotel and freshen up. You can then step out for a relaxed exploration of the town. Day 2: Munnar Excursions

After a piping hot Kerala breakfast, begin a day filled with exploration and natural beauty. Your first stop is the serene Mattupetty Dam, where calm waters, nearby gushing waterfalls, and surrounding greenery create a picture-perfect setting. You may opt for a boat ride on the lake to truly soak in the tranquility.

Next, head to Echo Point, a fascinating natural spot where the hills echo back your voice—try it for fun! Continue to the serene and shaded trails of Rajamalai Nature Park, a charming wooded escape that enchants with its cool breeze and quiet beauty.

After a scenic walk along Kundale Lake, enjoy the peaceful rhythm of Munnar’s landscape before heading in the afternoon to the renowned Eravikulam National Park. Here, you may spot the rare and endangered Nilgiri Tahr, as well as an array of birds, butterflies, and vibrant forest life. Stroll under thick green canopies and take in the majestic view of Anamudi Peak, the highest point in South India.

As the sun sets, return to your hotel to unwind and relax. After dinner, take a leisurely walk through Munnar’s quiet lanes, enjoying the crisp mountain air and starlit sky.

Day 3: Munnar – Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife & Spice Plantation)

Start your morning with a delicious breakfast of freshly prepared Kerala delicacies, and then board your coach for the scenic 110 km drive (approx. 3 hours) to Thekkady, a land of wild beauty and aromatic spice plantations.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take a short rest before setting out to explore the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary—one of India’s most captivating reserves. Home to majestic tigers, elephants, leopards, bison, and a vibrant array of birdlife, reptiles, and amphibians, Periyar is a paradise for wildlife lovers.

The best way to experience this lush sanctuary is by boat ride on the Periyar Lake, which offers excellent chances to spot wildlife along the forested banks, all while enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the waters.

Later, visit a local spice plantation, where you can see, taste, and purchase freshly grown spices such as cardamom, pepper, cloves, and cinnamon—straight from nature’s garden.

As evening falls, return to your hotel and relax amidst the cool forest air. Drift off to a peaceful night’s sleep, surrounded by the calm and quiet of the Western Ghats.

Day 4: Thekkady – Alleppey (Houseboat Cruise Experience)

Begin your day with a fresh and steaming Kerala breakfast, then check out from your hotel and head toward the tranquil backwaters of Alleppey, a 130 km journey (approx. 3.5–4 hours) through lush countryside and coconut-lined roads.

On arrival, board your traditional Kerala houseboat (Kettuvallam) at the jetty and set off on a leisurely cruise through a maze of canals, lagoons, and shimmering lakes. Often called the Venice of the East, Alleppey offers a unique way of life where daily activities unfold on water.

As the houseboat glides gently through the backwaters, watch the fascinating scenes of village life—children playing, fishermen casting their nets, women washing clothes, and boats trading goods. Enjoy a delicious onboard lunch, freshly prepared by your personal chef, and relax on the deck while soaking in the natural beauty.

Spend your evening drifting under the open sky, followed by a traditional Kerala dinner on board. Fall asleep to the soothing rhythm of the water and the whisper of palm leaves.

Overnight stay on the houseboat in Alleppey.

Day 5: Alleppey – Kochi (Sightseeing & Culture Tour)

After a peaceful night on the houseboat, wake up to the calm of the backwaters and enjoy a traditional Kerala breakfast on board. Disembark at the jetty and begin your 85 km drive (approx. 2.5 hours) to Kochi, Kerala’s vibrant port city that beautifully blends colonial heritage with coastal charm.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and freshen up before heading out to explore the sights and sounds of Kochi.

Start with a visit to the scenic Marine Drive and Kochi Beach, perfect for a refreshing stroll. Then, dive into the city’s rich colonial past with visits to Fort Immanuel, built by the Portuguese, and David Hall, an architectural gem constructed by the Dutch East India Company. Don’t miss the Thakur House, a stately colonial bungalow dating back to the British era.

Continue to Vasco da Gama Square, a lively spot where you can shop for souvenirs, sample local snacks, and sip on fresh coconut water under the shade of swaying palms.

The highlight of your Kochi tour is witnessing the legendary Chinese fishing nets in action—introduced in the 14th century by traders from the court of Kublai Khan, these unique cantilevered nets have become an iconic symbol of Kochi.
