Day 1: Arrival in Taipei - Your journey begins as you arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Upon arrival, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel in Taipei. After check-in, take some time to relax from your journey. In the evening, head out to experience Taipei’s vibrant night markets such as Shilin Night Market, famous for its wide variety of street food and shopping options. Try delicacies like bubble tea, stinky tofu, and oyster omelets. This evening stroll gives you your first taste of Taiwan’s lively culture and hospitality. Overnight stay in Taipei.

Day 2: Taipei City Tour - After breakfast, set out for a full-day sightseeing tour of Taipei. Begin with a visit to the National Palace Museum, which houses one of the world’s largest collections of Chinese imperial artifacts. Continue to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, an impressive monument dedicated to Taiwan’s former president. Next, explore Longshan Temple, one of the oldest and most beautiful temples in Taipei, blending Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian traditions.
Later, stroll down Ximending District, Taipei’s trendiest shopping street, often called the “Harajuku of Taipei.” In the evening, visit the iconic Taipei 101, once the tallest building in the world. Ride the high-speed elevator to the observatory and admire panoramic views of the city lights. Overnight stay in Taipei.

Day 3: Taipei – Sun Moon Lake - After breakfast, check out and proceed to Sun Moon Lake, one of Taiwan’s most picturesque destinations. On arrival, enjoy a boat ride across the serene lake, where the eastern side resembles the sun and the western side resembles the moon. Visit attractions around the lake such as Wenwu Temple, dedicated to Confucius and the God of War, and the Ci En Pagoda, built by Chiang Kai-Shek in memory of his mother. The lush surroundings and cool climate make Sun Moon Lake a perfect retreat. In the evening, take a leisurely lakeside walk or rent a bicycle for a scenic ride along the waterfront. Overnight stay at Sun Moon Lake.

Day 4: Sun Moon Lake – Alishan National Scenic Area - Today, travel towards the enchanting Alishan National Scenic Area. Famous for its cloud-kissed mountains, sacred trees, and spectacular sunrise views, Alishan is a must-visit. On arrival, explore the Alishan Forest Railway, one of the world’s most scenic mountain railways. Visit the Sacred Tree and the Sisters Ponds, natural landmarks steeped in legend. As evening approaches, enjoy the refreshing mountain air and prepare for an early start the next day to witness Alishan’s breathtaking sunrise. Overnight stay in Alishan.

Day 5: Alishan – Tainan - Wake up early and take the Alishan Forest Railway to the Zhushan Sunrise Observation Deck, where you can witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the peaks of Yushan Mountain. After breakfast, continue your journey to Tainan, Taiwan’s oldest city and the former capital. Known for its temples and history, Tainan offers a glimpse into Taiwan’s cultural roots. Visit Chihkan Tower, Confucius Temple, and Koxinga Shrine, all highlighting Taiwan’s historic legacy. In the evening, stroll through Tainan’s lively night markets, sampling local specialties such as Dan Zai noodles and coffin bread. Overnight stay in Tainan.

Day 6: Tainan – Kenting National Park – Kaohsiung - After breakfast, drive south towards Kenting National Park, Taiwan’s tropical paradise known for its beaches, coral reefs, and natural beauty. Explore Eluanbi Lighthouse, the southernmost point of Taiwan, and the scenic coastline with unique rock formations such as the Sail Rock. Relax by the pristine beaches or enjoy optional water activities.
In the afternoon, continue to Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s second-largest city. Visit Love River, a romantic waterfront spot, and stroll around the lively Liuhe Night Market. Overnight stay in Kaohsiung.

Day 7: Kaohsiung – Hualien (via Taitung) - After breakfast, explore more of Kaohsiung, starting with the Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, a vast spiritual complex featuring a giant golden Buddha statue. Continue your journey along Taiwan’s scenic east coast, passing through Taitung, known for its untouched natural beauty. Enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean as you travel towards Hualien. Arrive in Hualien and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Hualien.

Day 8: Taroko Gorge Excursion - Today is dedicated to exploring the natural wonder of Taroko Gorge, located within Taroko National Park. Famous for its marble-walled canyons, rushing rivers, and lush vegetation, Taroko is a highlight of Taiwan. Visit Swallow Grotto, Eternal Spring Shrine, and Tunnel of Nine Turns, each offering breathtaking views of the gorge. Take a short hike through one of the scenic trails to fully appreciate the beauty of the park. After a full day of adventure, return to Hualien for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Hualien – Taipei Departure - After breakfast, take a scenic train or drive back to Taipei. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping at Taipei’s underground malls or Duty-Free Shops. Later, transfer to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your memorable Best of Taiwan Tour with Kashiyatra Tours.
