Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati & Local Exploration – Upon your arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, a warm welcome awaits you from our Kashiyatra Tours representative, who will assist you with a comfortable transfer to your pre-booked hotel. After settling in and freshening up, get ready to begin your journey through the vibrant culture of Assam.

Your first stop will be Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, a renowned cultural complex that offers a deep insight into the art, history, and traditions of Assam. Here, you’ll witness the rich heritage of the region through beautifully curated exhibits, traditional performances, and architectural displays.

Next, head to Fancy Bazaar and the local handicraft market, where you can stroll through bustling streets filled with traditional Assamese items, handwoven fabrics, and authentic handicrafts—perfect for souvenir shopping and getting a feel of local life.

After a day full of cultural exploration and shopping, return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Guwahati, ready for the spiritual experiences that await on the next day of your tour.

Day 2: Guwahati City and Temple Tour – Start your day early as you embark on a full-day journey exploring the sacred and scenic landmarks of Guwahati. Your first destination is the Kamakhya Devi Temple, perched on Nilachal Hill, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India. For a smooth and quicker darshan, it’s advisable to purchase a VIP pass (₹501 per person) directly from the temple counter.

Near the main shrine, you will also visit a group of associated temples dedicated to various forms of the Goddess, including Dhumavati, Tripureswari, Maa Tara, Maa Kali, Maa Chhinnamasta, Maa Bagala, Maa Bhubaneswari, and Maa Banadurga.

In the second half of the day, you can customize your itinerary with optional visits to popular attractions such as the Navagraha Temple, ISKCON Temple, Assam State Zoo, Botanical Garden, Vashisht Ashram, or the serene Balaji Temple.

Later, enjoy a scenic ferry ride to Umananda Temple, located on Peacock Island, the world’s smallest inhabited river island. If time permits, unwind with a Brahmaputra River cruise (charges apply), witnessing the sunset over the majestic river.

Note: Important Information for Devotees

• If you wish to perform any special puja or ritual at Kamakhya Temple, please inform us at least one day in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements smoothly.

• Every year, the Kamakhya Temple remains closed during the sacred Ambubachi period from 22nd June to 25th June, as it is believed that the Goddess undergoes her annual menstrual cycle during this time.

• The temple reopens on 26th June with the commencement of the grand Ambubachi Mela, which continues till 3rd July. This period draws thousands of devotees from all over the country, making the temple premises and surrounding areas extremely crowded and congested.

• We strongly recommend planning your visit before or after the Ambubachi dates to avoid inconvenience and ensure a peaceful darshan experience.

  Day 3: Departure from Guwahati – Kashiyatra Tours
