Day 1: Guwahati to Kaziranga (200 km / Approx. 4 hours) – Welcome to your exciting 11-day tour of Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh! Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly greeted by our Kashiyatra Tours representative. From here, begin your scenic drive to the world-famous Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros. On reaching Kaziranga, check into your pre-booked hotel and take some time to relax after your journey. In the evening, visit the Orchid Park, where you’ll witness a vibrant cultural performance showcasing Assamese folk music and dance, giving you a taste of the region’s rich heritage. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Kaziranga, surrounded by nature’s beauty..

Day 2: Kaziranga Safari – Begin your second day with an early morning Elephant Safari in the stunning Kaziranga National Park, where you can spot the iconic one-horned rhinoceros, along with deer, wild boars, and various bird species amidst misty grasslands. After the safari, return to the hotel for breakfast and rest. Later, visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park, a delightful space showcasing Northeast India’s rich flora and cultural heritage. At 2 PM, gear up for a thrilling Jeep Safari in the Western Range of Kaziranga, home to incredible wildlife such as Bengal tigers, wild elephants, rhinos, swamp deer, and more. After a day full of adventure and exploration, return to the hotel to relax, enjoy dinner, and stay overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 3: Kaziranga to Bomdila (212 km / Approx. 5 hrs) – After breakfast, begin your journey towards the enchanting hills of Arunachal Pradesh as you head to Bomdila, a serene hill town known for its peaceful atmosphere and mountain views. En route, travel through the scenic Bhalukpong and Tenga Valleys, where breathtaking landscapes, lush greenery, and winding roads offer a perfect introduction to the natural beauty of the region. Stop at the Tipi Orchidarium, home to a vast collection of orchids and exotic plants, nestled amidst forested surroundings—an ideal spot for nature lovers.Upon reaching Bomdila, check into your hotel and relax. Later, visit the peaceful Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery, a beautiful Buddhist monastery that offers insight into local spiritual life.Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Bomdila.

Day 4: Bomdila to Tawang (175 km / Approx. 5 hrs) – After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Bomdila to Tawang, one of Arunachal Pradesh’s most captivating destinations. The journey takes you through breathtaking mountain landscapes and high-altitude passes. En route, stop at the majestic Sela Pass (13,700 ft), a snow-covered mountain pass that offers stunning views and the serene Sela Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters. Continue to the Jaswantgarh War Memorial, a tribute to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat, a hero of the 1962 Indo-China war—an inspiring and patriotic site. Upon reaching Tawang, check into your hotel and take some well-deserved rest amidst the cool mountain air and peaceful surroundings. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Tawang, preparing for a full day of exploration ahead.

Day 5: Tawang Sightseeing – Begin your day with a visit to the majestic Tawang Monastery, the largest in India and a spiritual center of Mahayana Buddhism. Next, explore the peaceful Ani Gompa, run by nuns and nestled in the surrounding hills. Continue to Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, where you can see his footprint preserved in stone, a site of deep spiritual significance.Visit Buddha Park, home to a massive and serene Buddha statue, offering panoramic views of the Tawang Valley. Then, explore the Tawang Craft Center, known for local handlooms, carpets, and traditional art. Later, pay your respects at the Tawang War Memorial, a tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the 1962 war. In the evening, stroll through the local market, shop for souvenirs, and experience local life before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Tawang – Bumla Pass – Tawang (32 km / Approx. 1 hr 10 min) – Today’s journey takes you to the breathtaking Bumla Pass, located near the Indo-China border, at an altitude of over 15,000 feet. The drive itself is an unforgettable experience, offering snow-capped peaks, rugged terrain, and spectacular views. En route, stop at the scenic Ptso Lake, a tranquil high-altitude lake surrounded by snowy landscapes. Continue to the famous Madhuri Lake (Sangetsar Lake), known for its stunning beauty and film connection, as well as being one of the highest-altitude lakes in India. Enjoy the peaceful environment, take photos, and soak in the raw beauty of Arunachal's Himalayan frontier. After this high-altitude adventure, return to Tawang by evening to relax at your hotel.

Note: A special permit is required to visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake, and tourists must hire a local cab for this route.

Day 7: Tawang to Dirang (138 km / Approx. 4 hrs) – After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Tawang and begin your journey toward the tranquil town of Dirang, known for its scenic beauty, monasteries, and warm valleys. En route, visit the beautiful TDL Monastery (Taktsang Dzong), perched on a hilltop with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. It’s a peaceful spot to pause and reflect amidst nature’s serenity. If time permits, take a short detour to explore the charming Chug Valley, a lesser-known gem dotted with traditional homes, farmlands, and peaceful surroundings—ideal for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Continue onward to Dirang, where you’ll check in to your hotel and unwind after a scenic drive. Enjoy a relaxing overnight stay in Dirang, surrounded by the calm and cool Himalayan breeze.

Day 8: Dirang to Guwahati (291 km / Approx. 7 hrs) – After an early breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the scenic drive from Dirang to Guwahati. The journey offers picturesque views of the Eastern Himalayas, winding roads, and glimpses of local life. Pass through lush green valleys, vegetable gardens, and kiwi orchards, making the long drive a pleasant experience. Upon arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel and relax after the long journey. Enjoy the comforts of the city and prepare for the final days of your Northeast adventure. Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 9: Guwahati to Cherrapunji (145 km / Approx. 3 hr 30 min) – After an early breakfast, begin your journey from Guwahati to Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra, one of the wettest places on Earth, renowned for its lush greenery and dramatic landscapes. On arrival, visit stunning waterfalls like Elephant Falls, the majestic Seven Sisters Falls, and the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall. Continue exploring with a stop at Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and cliffs. Then, discover the fascinating Mawsmai Caves, enjoy the scenic Eco Park, and visit various viewpoints that showcase Cherrapunji’s raw natural beauty. Day 10: Cherrapunji – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong – After breakfast, begin your journey to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village. Day 11: Shillong to Guwahati (96 km / Approx. 2 hrs) – On the final day of your Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh tour, enjoy breakfast and explore a few last highlights of Shillong. Visit Ward’s Lake, a peaceful spot surrounded by gardens, and the beautiful Shillong Cathedral, known for its unique architecture. Before departing, stop by the picturesque Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir perfect for photos and peaceful moments. Later, proceed to Guwahati, where our representative will drop you at the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
